Why I’m Investing In Our Network
I am honored to serve as the 2024 Board Chair of the RRAR REALTOR® Giving Network (RGN), working beside 20 other dedicated directors. Welcome to our digital hub for engaging the real estate community in the effort to end homelessness in Wake County.
Our guiding principles are carried in a familiar word, HOME. We exist to:
- Help our neighbors
- Organize Realtor® giving
- Maximize the impact of that giving
- Encourage engagement in the community by our members
Through these principles, members all have the opportunity to be Ambassadors for Social Good.
RGN is supercharging local housing nonprofits with access to general operating funds through our Community Grant Program. RGN has grown from distributing $3,000 in grants to $275,000 in just five years. An acceleration of this magnitude is only possible when REALTORS® unite as one family to support our neighbors.
I invite you to join us in transitioning families from homelessness to stable housing. It’s a powerful, fulfilling task. Consider the ways you can participate through volunteer service, connecting with RGN on Facebook, and attending events like the Strike-out-Homelessness Bowling Tournament every October.
You definitely don’t want to miss the inspiring Realtor® Giving Circle Celebration this December. In 2023, we delivered $70,000 to three remarkable organizations at that event alone. Consider allocating $10 or $20 from every closing to RGN as a way to honor your clients. Join us as we continue to assist our communities and neighbors in need!
